my friend rye contacted me and wrote :
"michael its rye from, well you know. i don't know if this comes as vein, i feel great about the way i look right now facial hair included, was wondering if you can take my picture, once or a-bunch it don't matter. just get back to me"

that message made me laugh and made my shitty morning when i read it, i had to do it, + rye is one of the nicest dudes i met in austin, i true solid good guy...

i'm flying home to PA to shoot their wedding at the end of september, it's at a winery, should be amazing. This was the first engagement shoot i ever did, i think they came out well...

chicago, may 2008

I flew to chicago at the end of may to meet my sister there, it was around our birthday, so it was rad to hang out with laura in a different city during that time. It was a relaxing trip, ate a bunch of food, read a bunch, and walked around.

The same time i was in york, i saw another great friend that lives in LA, who i haven't seen in about two years. I have wanted to take photos of nick for awhile, and we only had a few hours and it was night, so it's very flash based.. while i was taking photos of him, some drunken douche driving by threw a beer at me, it just missed me, sometimes people are just dumb.
